Preheat the oven to 375. I'm going to take 2 chicken breasts (about 16oz uncooked) and cut off all the fat then slice it into slices like you would imagine being put on a salad. Putting that aside, in a bowl mix 1 egg white, and 1tbs or balsamic vinaigrette. Then in another bowl mix 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1tsp garlic salt, 1tsp garlic powder, some salt and pepper and maybe whatever other seasonings look good and mix it up. Spray Pam on a baking sheet. Soak the chicken in the egg whites then cover them in the seasoning, put on the pan and bake for about 20 minutes. Let cool and throw on a salad! Something surprisingly amazing that is 0 points for dressing is to just buy a packet of ranch seasoning and sprinkle it on top, SO GOOD! This is a cool recipe that you can do anything you want with really! Then maybe for desert have a Healthy Choice fudge bars. What a day. I’m trying to also remember to drink a gallon jug of water a day. SO good for you in every way.

1/13/2012 173.2 lbs
I am starting at 22 points a day on old weight watchers. You can find your points by just googling how to online. You can go tohttp://www.calculatorcat.com/free_calculators/weight_watchers_calculator.phtml to calculate whatever you eat and you can go to http://quiddity.cc/rachel/diet/wwfoods.htm for a cheat sheet. Today for breakfast I had oatmeal, which I love! I boil 1 cup of water and then stir in a half cup of oatmeal and turn the oven down to a medium heat, after about 3 minutes I add half a tablespoon of butter, a teaspoon or vanilla, two packets of truvia then poor it in my bowl and add some almond milk to cook it down and make it taste awesome! Sometimes I add blueberries too, but I just got braces so I am not eating many foods that take an effort to chew. That is a total of a 4 point breakfast! Oh and of course right when I wake up I drink a big glass of water! It wakes me up and fills me up! For lunch I had 3 egg whites fried in Pam with some salt and pepper and pace picante (my favorite) & some crackers dipped in onion dip (made with sour cream & onion soup mix) for a total of 5 points (1 pt for 3 egg whites, 0 pts for pace salt and pepper, 2 pts for crackers and 2 pts for dip.)
This morning my husband woke up late so I did The Firm workout video from like the 70's with Sandahl Burgman. It's seriously awesome! It works everything and you feel SO good when you are done. We went to the gym at lunch and so I walked for a mile (since I had already done The Firm cardio) and then we worked on our backs. When we do weights we do 8 reps 4 times. Of course I don’t know the names of anything so bear with me. There is a machine I think called the lat pull down and you just pull the bar down to your chest while maintaining the appropriate posture. Then on the same machine you can grab the bar in the middle and pull it down just the same. Then we went to a bench where I put my knee and the same time hand on the bench my other leg is standing slightly bent and the same side hand had a 15 lb dumbbell, you always keep your elbow close to your side and then just lift you elbow up and then let it down, 8 reps 4x's. Then we used another thing where you stand in it and your body is at a slant and the top of your legs are being supported and you look straight while you lower your upper body and bring it back up. It’s for your lower back and it’s awesome. You can also hold a weight to your chest while doing them. Make sure to stretch! I think for dinner tonight I will make a chicken recipe my best friend gave me and have chicken salad! Try this, it’s really good

Day 6
I started my resolution on the 7th of January 2012 right when I got home from Ireland! I am doing weight watchers on my own and I love it! I do the old weight watcher points because I have seen it work on people like my mom and pretty much everyone I know knows someone it worked for. Since I didnt start from day 1 I will recap. I decided to lose weight finally when I noticed some intense back and stomach fat. I saw this in pictures and when I got a full length mirror. Also, I have anxiety, rosacea and asthma. After 6 days of working out and eating better I am easing off my asthma preventative and I can tell that my lungs are strengthening and my rosacea is a tiny bit lighter.
Here is some background:
I am 5'9" 177 pounds, at the beginning of 2011 I was 145 and wanted to lose 10 pounds. Growing up until I was about 17 I was always really really skinny. I have no idea how much I weighed because I never thought about it. Since I was naturally skinny I never thought about working out either. I'm still not one of those girls who care if my thighs touch together or I have a big butt. The truth is, I always wanted to be more curvy! But I have passed cuvy and I am in the, "WHOOP she turned 25 and went downhill!" catergory. I would love to be as skinny as I was but keep some curves and tone my body. I think I can look better than ever! But most importantly, I am in constant discomfort. All the weight I have gained has really taken a toll on me. I get headaches backaches, I'm constantly tired and no fun. This has all got to end!
I realized something recently too that I thought of looking at my pinterest and seeing "body motivation" pictures (pictures or really fit woman) is that that is the WRONG thing to do. I will never look like them because I'm NOT them. Alessandra Ambrosio at her best will never look like Adriana Lima at her best because they are different people, they have different bodies. Why would you want to look like someone else when you can look like the best version of yourself? I found a picture of me with a flat stomach and long hair standing in front of my Shakira poster from a few years back and THAT is my motivation. The same might not work for someone who has always struggled with weight but I would just find the best picture of you and beat it!
Back to what I am doing about it! For eating healthier I chose weight watchers plan, its all about smaller portions and a healthier lifestyle. You can eat what you want but at the end of the day you want your points to take you as far as they can. For fitness I am lucky enough to have a husband that is a fitness finatic. We wake up and are at the gym by 7:30am everymorning. We go to Anytime Fitness which is awesome because no matter where we travel there is one there. He really helps me get my butt in gear. We start with cardio then focus on a specific area like legs or arms. I have already lost 4 pounds but tomorrow is the end of week 1 and the weight in that really matters. I think it is really important to find things to do in the gym that you like and have a low and high standard set for yourself. For my low standard I go on the tredmill and at the least walk 1 mile. Its better than nothing at all! My best is going uphill for 3 miles. There are days where I am tired and lazy and just do my lowest standard but at the end I am SO happy I at least did something! Then there are days where I have energy and I am feeling good and I shoot for my best! But its important to find things you like in the gym. For instance, I don't like running pretty much at all so I speed walk uphill (its easier on your knees I think.)
Anyway that is it! Everyday I will write what I ate and what I did in the gym and anything else going on! I hope it becomes encouraging to someone.
